Dr. Robert L. Groat, M.D.
Dr. Groat is a graduate of Greensboro Senior High School (Grimsley ‘62); Davidson College (‘66) and Harvard Medical School (‘70). He performed his medical internship at Duke University Medical Center and his Ophthalmology Residency at Washington University Medical School, Barnes Hospital.
Dr. Groat was the Chief of Ophthalmology at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital from 1986-1994. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Guilford County Medical Society.
